"College students get away with Poor Preparation Article!!

The ways that students and faculty show the poor preperation issue is when students come into class and havent studied because they dont feel the need to because they figure that the test and quizes are easy enough that they dont feel the need to study!I believe the teacher should make the test or quizes harder and if the student recieves an "A" that they should get a reward of some sort!

Theatre production of Dead Man Walking!

This production has opened my mind to many different views of the death penalty and its surroundings.I think its imporant for the college to do activites and and assignments to change my view and make me see other views of other people and i think its imporant for me to go out of my comfort zone and try new things and express my view view in a different way and learn about different ways to view things other than based on my religon.

Tierney Hill's Talk!

I think Tierney Hill's talk to us was very inspirational to me because it makes me that an average person like you and me did this amazing, inspirational situation.So that makes me think that anything is possible.I believe me being here in North Carolina is an inspiration to everyone in my town back home because they are so proud of me for doing so good in school and track up here and i think it also means a lot to my family too because i am the first in my family to go to college.

Economic Situation!

I think the economic situation will affect everyone is some way.I think it will affect me a little bit but not as much as people who have loans, finacing through the banks for house or car payments, or people who have job(s) and work.One thing i have changed since this ecconomic situation is that i save money now instead of going shopping all the time and i now use that money for gas in my car to get to places.It's impossible now to go shopping like i used too because everything is so expensive now and i would rather drive place instead of walk intstead of going shopping.But as you get older you have to make sacrifices and i guess this is a good lesson to learn now.

Drinking Ages!

I believe that the drinking age of 21 should be lowered to 18.The reason i believe this is because most college kids drink underage anyways and when your 18 your considered an adult, so if your an adult i believe that you should be of the legal age to drink.Also i believe that if the age were lowered a lot of college kids would be safer as in not going to jail for underage drinking and other such things.

Mt Day!

I think that Lees-McRae's tradition of mountain day is imporant because it makes the students of LMC come closer as a family,meet new people and follow the traditions.I think this tradition is an imporant part of LMC its make the students osf the college become more like a family.Mountain day is a tradition of LMC and simliar to other peoples traditions,such as Christmas and how you celebrate based on religion.The traditions we have or the way we celebrate holiday or such make us who we are they prove our true identies.
