Cadillac Records

The issues that are presented in the movie that are still present in today's society and culture is that we still call blacks by thier race then by using their names,well so people do.And some people still think that blacks and white shouldn't be allowed to have the same bathrooms and such.The meaningful message that i recieved from the movie is that everyone should be treated equally,we are all humans and we were all put here by God!Also i think the movie is trying to represent how white people treated black peeple back in the day and how so still do today.

Liberal Arts!

I think the value in a liberal arts education is to make you a well rounded person because you have to take the core classes that you need before you can start your major classes.Liberal arts education gives you a hint of everything so that you can decide what you wanna become,so therefore liberal arts education prepares you for most anything that you may wanna do so you can pretty much become whatever you want with a liberal arts education.

Global Citizenship

I think global citizenship is when you yourself as a citzen of your country tries your best to make the country that you will in a better place by starting new organizations that benefit the people or other things such as bringing everyone as people together and coming up with new ways to help the needing or the homeless or just doing citizen things.I think that being a global citzen is imporant because without people being citzens then how would a country function as smoothly as it does now and it would be kaoss.

Grades!

To make my grades better i believe that i will have to find a new form of studying,and actually study for the quizes that i have.To maintain good grades i believe that you found a good way to study so keep it up.To keep good grades i also believe that you must go to class and not skip and thats something that i need to work on!

"College students get away with Poor Preparation Article!!

The ways that students and faculty show the poor preperation issue is when students come into class and havent studied because they dont feel the need to because they figure that the test and quizes are easy enough that they dont feel the need to study!I believe the teacher should make the test or quizes harder and if the student recieves an "A" that they should get a reward of some sort!

Theatre production of Dead Man Walking!

This production has opened my mind to many different views of the death penalty and its surroundings.I think its imporant for the college to do activites and and assignments to change my view and make me see other views of other people and i think its imporant for me to go out of my comfort zone and try new things and express my view view in a different way and learn about different ways to view things other than based on my religon.

Tierney Hill's Talk!

I think Tierney Hill's talk to us was very inspirational to me because it makes me that an average person like you and me did this amazing, inspirational situation.So that makes me think that anything is possible.I believe me being here in North Carolina is an inspiration to everyone in my town back home because they are so proud of me for doing so good in school and track up here and i think it also means a lot to my family too because i am the first in my family to go to college.
